Preparing and Sending PrintsSaving your files When creating your digital scrapbooking layouts, you are likely using a program like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. It is important to save a copy of your page in the format that your program uses (.psd for example). This allows you to go back and make changes, if you want to add something or if you made a spelling mistake (we all do it!). In addition to that file, save a jpg version of your layouts for printing. I like to keep all my jpg files in a separate folder "ready to print" so I can easily keep track of what I want to get printed. Zipping your files The easiest way to send your files to print at Green Pixel Printing is to put them into a folder and create a zip file. (On a Mac, it is called an archive file). Simply right click on the folder and choose Send To > Compressed (zipped) Folder. On a Mac, right click and choose Archive. This will create a zipped/archived/compressed folder that can be easily sent to Green Pixel Printing. Placing your Order Placing your order at Green Pixel Printing is an easy 2-step process. First, add the products that you wish to purchase to your cart, and checkout. Second, send your files to be printed. You can add any special instructions, such as sizes or if you want multiple copies of a certain picture, in the comments box of your order. Sending your files I recommend zipping your files before sending them to Green Pixel Printing. This will make the sending step much easier. Click on the Upload Files link on the left side of the Green Pixel Printing website. Enter your email address, name, and try and include your order number (from your checkout) in the comments box. Click on Browse to select the zip file that you have created. Click on the Send It button, and then wait for you file to upload. This could take quite a while, depending on your internet speed and the size of your zip file. So grab a coffee, and sit back and wait! :) |
